Honey Oat Potato Beer Bread

12 oz beer, warm
2 tsp yeast
1 tsp honey

1 cup mashed potato flakes

1 cup oats
2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 cup honey
Pour beer into a mixing bowl, add yeast and 1 tsp honey; let stand 15 minutes.
 
Add remaining ingredients and mix well, knead. Add flour if necessary until dough reaches desired consistency. Form into ball and let sit covered 20 minutes. Pre-heat oven to 500°.
 
Bake bread in a bread pan for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 400° and continue baking for 35 minutes.
