Racial Cost: 40 points
The Broett Iein (pronounced Bro-ett Ee-uyn), sometimes called “small ones” or “halflings,” are humanoids of small stature. Their nation lies on the northern edge of the Shielded Sea Region, where they are surrounded by enemies. Human Civ #1, to the south has been surprisingly aggressive, and various tribes of monsters frequently raid from the North. Fortunately, the Broett Iein count the Eiwŭtt among their allies (many of whom live with the Broett Iein), and with their help have thus far been able to ward off attacks.
Broett Iein range from 2’5” to 3’6” in height, with weights between 45 and 150 lbs. Average ones are 2’7” to 3’ tall and weigh 60-90 lbs. They’re extremely stocky, but even so have SM ‑2. Their armor is no lighter than the SM 0 kind but not interchangeable with it – and Broett Iein usually stick to light armor owing to their low ST.
