Kirinioth Climate Sim

May 23, 2021

Recently I discovered a program called Clima-Sim. It's used to simulate climate changes throughout the year and includes several presets for different ages of Earth. It also allows you to redraw continents, so I used it to import the Kirinioth world map, built out the continents and simulated the climate month-by-month for the full year. It has settings for mean, max and min temperatures. I simulated the max temp for day temp and the min temp for overnight temps. The results are very cool. The northern desert ranges (day) as low as 95°F in December (at its hottest point), to as high as 115°F in August. The main campaign area is fairly temperate throughout the year, with the northern boundary dipping below freezing. I am very pleased with how it's all panned out! It's also a marginally insane way to determine if the people of Thrinecia wear sweaters.

Here's the month-by-month maps. Temperatures are listed in C.
